Ann Siang House
Project type
Hotel
Location
Singapore
The Lobby Lounge at Ann Siang House was designed as a living room for the hotel: a place for guests to sit, work, read, have a coffee, wait, or meet friends without feeling like they are in a conventional hotel lobby.
Set within the heritage building’s irregular plan, the space is arranged as a series of rooms and corners, each with a slightly different use and feeling. There are quiet nooks, larger tables, curved banquettes, a self-service pantry, a small retail area and an outdoor terrace.
The material palette gives the lounge its warmth and character. Tan leather, oak veneers, cork ceilings, soft upholstery and custom joinery create a space that feels crafted, comfortable and informal. Curved forms soften the layout, while the yellow light column adds a bold and slightly playful moment.
The result is a hotel lounge that feels more residential than institutional — useful, relaxed and quietly elegant.
